A Unicorn Bike? What the whaaaat?!
So you heard about #VitaminP - aka The Yellow Unicorn - and now you’re left shaking your head, thinking: “Pronto. Why are you so strange?” Fair question - we wonder the same thing sometimes.
As you may or may not know, bike share is new to Seattle, but Pronto follows in the footsteps of other bike transit systems like NYC’s CitiBike, SF’s Bay Area Bike Share, and Chicago’s Divvy (to name just a few). In tribute to our long-distance bike pals, we’re continuing what has become a bit of a tradition in other bike share cities…the Unicorn Bike.
The Unicorn is one bike in the fleet that’s decorated differently for a limited period of time. There have been Candy Cane Unicorns in Chicago and Rainbow Unicorns in San Francisco. But what do they all have in common? Magic. The Unicorn Bike makes people smile, point, laugh, dance, tweet for the first time, break into song, give thumbs’ up to strangers, and win awesome prizes. Don’t believe us? Here’s some evidence from Chicago:

So. Are you ready to catch some #VitaminP?
For Seattle’s first Unicorn, we chose sunshine because - let’s be honest - we don’t see enough of it this time of year. It’s golden. It’s magical. It’s glamorous. AND IT CAN WIN YOU UP TO $200 IN PRIZES from REI, Timbuk2Seattle, Bern, Recycled Cycles and more. All you have to do is keep your eyes peeled, snap a photo, and post it to social media using the hashtag #VitaminP.
A handful of winners will be announced every week. How can you increase your chances of scoring some sweet prizes? Do something different - like this guy:

…or do the same thing, but in an even cooler spot:

Make sure to be ready. Like this creeper…

Be yourself…or somebody else:

Enlist a little help from your friends:

But be sure to wear your helmet…

And enjoy the adventure!

Good luck, #Seattle. Go get that #VitaminP.
